DUDE a cover of Roxette’s “Must have been love?” with New Moon footage?! YES, please!
too bad it’s not a mash up with Pretty Woman. Edward/Rob as well EDWARD Lewis and Bella/Kristen as Vivian. And too bad we have no hooker/stripper footage of KStew. Guess we’ll just have to wait till Welcome to the Riley’s comes out and then my dream of a Pretty Woman/Twilight Mash up can become reality.
Since we’re on the movie/Twilight kick, remember when we posted the videos to She’s Like the Wine and Hungry Eyes and wished for a Dirty Dancing (RIP Patrick)/Twilight mash up? And then Ted C. from the Awful Truth ripped us off (after we told him about the videos) and then didn’t credit us? Yea, those were good times… In fact let’s watch them again shall we…

Doing an unfortunately obvious Vamp. movie comaparison, what about Let the Right One In?
Loner kid. Creepy vamp moves in next door? The difference being the girl is the vamp and they’re both 12.
That movie was great! And the book was even creepier.
Ghost, with Swayze and Demi? I don’t recall any songs from the sound track for that one, though.

The classic song from Ghost was Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers (although U2 do a nice version of that too).
The movie that comes to my mind is City of Angels, where the two were from different worlds and couldn’t be together, until Nick Cage’s angel ‘fell to earth’ and we know what happened to Meg Ryan’s character after that! Some great songs there… Alanis Morissette’s “Uninvited”, Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris”, Peter Gabriel’s “Grieve” and Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel”
City of Angels is a good one. I just thought that an OK movie…but I LOVED the soundtrack.
I thought that first video was going to be cheesy, but it was achingly beautiful. I loved it! Almost made me cry and I KNOW they get back together.

How about The Notebook. “Bellie” could find out “Noaward” is a vamp when he jumps out of the rowboat to eat the birds (cuz Noaward is also a vegetarian vamp). It could all be set to Aaron Zigman’s piano-heavy title theme.
No? Ok, how about Pump Up The Volume. HHH (which applies to both already) is an outcast, sullen loner who runs a pirate (aaaarrr) radio station out of his basement. He toils with the internal stuggle of whether or not he has a soul and will end up in hell eating his cereal with a fork and doing his homework in the dark alongside the Devil. Along comes goth vamp girl that’s into S&M (cuz first she beats you, then she eats you) and they spark up a romance and sit around talking about how sometimes being young is less fun than being dead. It could all be set to Me and The Devil Blues by Cowboy Junkies.

Hmm, the movie “Roxanne” comes to mind immediately – new girl Roxanne (Darryl Hanna) comes to town and the charismatic chief of the local fire brigade (Steve Martin) is immediately smitten with her, but hides behind others to conceal his love, since he thinks he isn’t “good enough” for her. 🙂
An exact fit, down to Steve Martin’s nose! (OK, so maybe Edward’s nose isn’t THAT big…)

I’m gonna go with “Say Anything”. Girl lives alone with father, boy with an uncommon name inexplicably wears a coat the whole movie… I see an easy lawsuit here. The tagline for the movie is, “She’s got everything going for her. He’s going for her with everything he’s got.” To make it even better, its a classic Cameron Crowe master piece. The cake topper you ask… “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabrielle. Grab the tissues now.
