We took a break from appreciation Sundays to feature all the awesome entries in our Imma contest last week but it’s once again Sunday and it’s time to show some reverence to one of our favorite actors in the Twilight saga. It’s time to appreciate you. After all you’re Billy Black, you’re Jacob Black’s dad, you come bearing gifts such as Harry Clearwater’s fish fry and most importantly, you’re down with the kids! Not to mention you were somewhat of a foxy beast in your day (ok, and now!).

I mean she has GILL BIRMINGHAM lifting up her bed whilst shirtless and she can’t do anything about it. Ugh, the unfairness of it all. Keep an eye out for Dianna Ross flying over what looks to be a Christmas village but will end up giving you a Birmingham smile.

THIS IS BY FAR, ONE OF MY FAVORITE POSTS!!! GIL is not only an awesome actor in Twilight (he’s got the evil disapproving glare going on), but he has a RIVETING secret music video, and look at those muscles! Gil is also a talented musician. I wish we gave awards for these appreciation days because he deserves one for being “DOWN with the KIDS!” Let’s get him an honorary pair of Jorts!

I’m so excited that Gil twittered the Imma contest entry about him. And he said he “loves this one” and he loled!!!!! So exciting.
I love the scene where Gil and Robward have the crazy eyes staredown… “complications” 😉
Gil totally reminds me of this guy I used to work with. He’s got the EXACT same hair and dresses real casual (Pink Floyd shirts to work with black denim jeans…not even on a Friday either!) and he plays guitar and sings too. Plus he says amazing comments, for instance once he was coming to my photography showing and I called to see where he was at and he replied, “Oh I’m just spreading my mac all over town.” Nearly pissed my pants. He turns 58 next year. OMG. I miss him so much.

I actually got to say that I was “down with the kids” a while back when a carload of young hooligans were admiring my car. NO ONE GOT IT!! But I thought that I was hilarious, so that’s what counts….
Gil is an amazing and diverse actor, wow, what a talented guy! I would say that he was under-utilized in Twilight, except he made every scene he was in perfect! That stare-down with Edward is priceless.
Whenever I see that scene of Jacob and Bella in the truck, I cannot stop staring at the line of wig-tape on Jacob’s forehead. Cause Imma dork like that….

The funny thing about the “I’m down with the kids” line is when I first heard it, I thought he meant he was down with Jacob and Bella mixin’ it up. I don’t know why – I think because he said it all sassy like that.
