This Cosmic Love – Edward and Bella

Dear Edward and Bella,

Sometimes words can adequately explain why your love story is so great. So words like cosmic seem like the only thing that can come near to explaining something so big, so strong and all encompassing. When Calli sent this video over I knew somehow someone had tapped into just a little once of truth regarding you two. The video features the song “Cosmic Love” by Florence and the Machine and I really can’t think of a better way to state the good, the bad and the lovely about you two. I was so intrigued by the term cosmic that I wanted to see the full extent of the term and here’s what good ol Merriam Webster had to say on the subject:

Cosmic
1 a
: of or relating to the cosmos, the extraterrestrial vastness, or the universe in contrast to the earth alone b : of, relating to, or concerned with abstract spiritual or metaphysical ideas
2 : characterized by greatness especially in extent, intensity, or comprehensiveness

Yea, I think that about sums it up…
Themoonisdown

PS big thanks to the lovely, radical, funny Calli

What words would you use to describe Bella and Edward?

Follow the cut to read the lyrics

A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes
I screamed aloud, as it tore through them, and now it’s left me blind

The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I’m always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

And in the dark, I can hear your heartbeat
I tried to find the sound
But then it stopped, and I was in the darkness,
So darkness I became

The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I’m always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

I took the stars from our eyes, and then I made a map
And knew that somehow I could find my way back
Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too
So I stayed in the darkness with you

The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I’m always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

  1. Oooh that song is lovely!
And cosmic is such a great way to describe B & Ed.
    So fitting 🙂

    xox

  2. A very inspiring, not swearing Sunday…could a song fit more perfectly our fave love story? ❤

  3. This is a great song and a great word to explain B & E! The song seems like it could of been taken right out of the books.

  4. E&B’s love – very cosmic. I also think of their love as epic – larger than life and far beyond the scope of what is considered ordinary! BTW, this song is beautiful. I wish it had been on the Twilight soundtrack instead of that other song that apparently was only there because it had the word “twilight” in it!

  5. just dl’ed that album the other day… how relevant!

  6. As everyone is writing letters here, I think I’ll start with one as well 🙂

    Dear Stephenie Meyer,

Thank you SO much for mentioning LTT on your web-site! Now I found the place where great people gather to share their emotions and feelings that are so like mine!

The video and song are great, loved them! So great to describe E&B’s cosmic love!

You’re doing a great job, ladies, you’re known in Russia too 😉 do you think I could join your discussions? I think of myself as a real Twi-hard, because I spread the books all around my office and family, my day starts with Googling all the stuff related to Twilight (and Rob, I can’t deny it), I even went so far as stalking DvF Oleada dress for 3 month and purchasing it from LA! 🙂

I love you all, you’re great!
    (sorry for messy writing)

    Best Regards,
    Alice

  7. Squuueeeee! I have been listening to this song nonstop for the past month. She has such a gorgeous, unique voice. And whoever did this video did an amazing job choosing great moments from the movie(s) to sync with the music. Hope they do more Twi-vids soon!

  8. i almost didn’t even watch the video, cause i didn’t find the lyrics that interesting, but i’m actually impressed. this song is great. thanks.

bella and edward… i really don’t know how i feel about them. sometimes i think they have the perfect relationship, but most of the time i just think it’s unhealthy, specially for bella.

but hey, what do i really know? my opinion is based on T and NM. maybe i’ll change my mind when i finish the saga.

  9. I love, love, LOVE this song – I found another video a couple of weeks ago that I just couldn’t get out of my mind:

I’m going to post this one over at TCA too – it’s too perfect a song for Bella and Edward ❤

  10. It’s beautiful! I have no words to describe Edward and Bella’s love. I do wish love was like that in real life. 🙂

  11. If we were to use Cosmic to wax poetic;

I would say Edward and Bella are like two space cadets looking for a place to land.

Or how about: One has the vastness of space between his ears, the other has a vacuum inside her head as dark as the cosmos and just as empty…well maybe a few stars rattle around in their, but you get the idea.

    Hows that for Cosmic?

  12. I love that song! It’s on my ipod for 2 days now and I already have listened to it 89 times, lol. I really like this site because it’s so original(:
And btw, not only Russia, but also in the Netherlands this site is known(well, to me and my friends atleast :P), so I guess, Europe is digging this site…

  13. Okay, honestly I hate Twilight – no cutting corners, no evading, I full out hate it.

    Lyrics that better suit it:
    “Every breath you take
    Every move you make
    Every bond you break
    Every step you take
    (Ill be watching you)”

    “Oh, cant you see
    You belong to me…”

    – Reference, Edward’s abuse, stalking and contolling attitude.

Hate mail me all you want but I have sensible debate, good grammar, logical arguments and common sense on my side.
