Dear Taylor,

Don’t screw this up!!! If it’s true and you are playing the hanky panky at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel with Taylor than you’re a lucky SOB cause this girl is 19, you are 17 and in boy/girls maturity levels that’s a lot. And besides that, she’s a young musician who not only plays an instrument but also writes her own music! This girls got it going on, and has the songs to prove it. Which you can learn a lot from, by the way! If we know anything about Taylor we know she likes Romeo and Juliet, love stories, flowers, screen doors slamming, Tim McGraw, castles, tear drops, glitter,  that stupid old pick up truck, burning shit, white horses, hates cheer captains and loves being fearless. Oh and she hates the JoBros. But who doesn’t?

So seriously don’t screw this up cause you KNOW Taylor will turn your relationship in her next number one album if you break her heart! And don’t think we won’t know who’s she’s referring to when she sings about “that stupid dog.”  I will also warn you know that Big Daddy told me he’s getting ready to sit you down and have “the talk” with you! So if Big Daddy asks to take you to McDee’s for some “one-on-one time” he’s not refering to private time with a certain fried fish sammy, he’s talking about emabarassing birds and the bees, this is where babies come from, true love waits, keep it in your pants shiz! Prepare yourself! And tape it, so we can listen later cause it will be epically 2nd hand embarrassing! Oh and if Kanye gets any funny ideas at this years Grammy’s you better come prepared to throw down. I’m talking “don’t get me upset” Jacob style throw down.

Ok now go send this girls some flowers and do a back flip for her while you recite a poem you wrote called “Taylor + Taylor, we can make it not a failure” So, clearly you’ll help you with your writing skills (and mine).

Stuff we like other than Twilight: Paper Route

Dear LTTers,

So Moon & I talk about this all the time, but that one day, back in December ’08 when we randomly decided to turn our instant messaging conversations into a blog? Yeah, we had no idea that we’d end up where we are (almost) TEN months later! Ya know- we’ve “made it.” I mean, a PR person from Toys R’ Us contacted us the other day, y’all. What else can you want from life? I can now die happy.

Every day Moon & I attempt to make you laugh or make you think Twilosophically and for some reason thousands of you read us and email us and follow us on twitter and make US laugh. But.. you don’t really know us. And that’s a shame. A CRYING shame. (And also it’s really good for us. Because I’m pretty sure you’d be so underwhelmed by our “normal-ness” that you’d stop reading LTT/LTR altogether. And we don’t want that.) A dear LTT/LTR friend turned real-life friend, Brookelockart, was kind enough to to force out this sentence when I talked to her about the difference between cyber-UC and real-life UC:

Thanks Brookie. Anyway, we like to share with you, from time to time, stuff we like other than Twilight so that we can prove to you we know how to live our mantra of “That’s Normal” and so you get to know us better. Since we’re awesome n’ stuff. (See our first post about this here, so you don’t miss learning about UC & Moon)

At press time (aka 1:42 am this morning when I’m 4 drinks in) Moon has not told me what she likes, so today just stars me, which is another thing to add to the list of things I like- stuff about me. Without further ado, UC likes:

• Music: but good music. You might call me a music snob. And I’m fine with that!
• California: I declared when I was 13 that I’m moving there. I’m still working on that, but it will happen.
• The Internet: I’m kinda obsessed with the internet. I blog personally (actually I apologize to my personal blog profusely since I don’t have time to blog there anymore!), I download and use EVERYTHING google and I love geeky new things that pop up online.
• Wearing big things in my hair- Flowers. Check. Feathers. Check. Bows. Check.
• Self-portraits. I’m the queen of self-portraits. I take them anywhere and everywhere. Usually I make a silly face. Sometimes I attempt to look sexy which people assume is my silly face. Sexy UC= Fail.:

So in the spirit of telling you about Moon & UC and sharing “Stuff we like other than Twilight,” I bring you something not exactly Twilight-related but also kinda still Twilight-related since, obviously, we do run a Twilight blog.

Paper Route is a band I LOVE! They are my husband’s college friends and have recently gotten a ton of really good press & I’m so happy because they deserve it. (PS they’re currently touring with Paramore which is not exactly Twilight-related but kinda is since they were on the soundtrack and we bow to Queen Hayley for partaking in one of our most favoritest interviews of Rob ever)

I happened across this New Moon trailer, which we’ve all seen, set to two amazing Paper Route songs:

No more Jizz in the world or the Twilight fandom, we beg of you!

Dear LTT-ers, euphemism lovers and 16 yr old boys,

Can we all agree to call a moratorium on the word “jizz?” Sure, it was funny when Andy Samberg and Lonely Island sang the song “Jizz in my Pants” and even funnier when some enterprising soul put the song to the biology class scene In Twilight, cause who didn’t think Edward had had a little downstairs bonanza when they first saw it? But we’ve officially reached the cut off point. I was alerted yesterday by the “Jizz Tracker 7000” (official name for a fake tracker) that the word Jizz has officially become over used and not to mention just plain gross.

Since the song came out last winter I think I’ve heard the term used in every way possible, as a noun “What the jizz?” as a verb: “I just jizzed all over the place!” as an adjective: “He is so jizzingly hot!” and ya know what? We can’t deal anymore. We’re all smart gals (and dudes) around here I know you have other vocab words. I’d even wholeheartedly agree to the usage of words like “chagrin,” “irrevecable,” and “glower” instead!

So in the interest of our sanity and gag reflex (that’s what she said) can we stop using the term altogether and instead think of a term that equates extreme excitement without the bodily fluids?

MTV Music Video Awards! New Moon Trailer, Music Video, Cast Galore! Oh MY!

Hey LTT-ers!

Today’s the day for the MTV Music Video awards aka the day we get to see the trailer (a higher quality version at least), see some Twilight star action and of course the music video for Meet Me on the Equinox by Death Cab for Cutie! It’s an action packed day to say the least. Though some/most of you might after already seen the trailer by now that was leaked online, I am taking one for the team because I have agreed to record myself and my viewing parties reaction to the trailer ON VIDEO. Yea, I might totes embarrass myself but hey, that’s normal right? So I’m prepping my vocal chords for my best fangirl sqee’s, microwaving some carrots for hor’dourves and ironing my Pattinson Pants to prepare for tonight’s festivities.

Since I’ve vowed to remain a pure virgin (that’s what Rob likes) until the big moment to preserve my honest reaction I’ve stayed away from the interwebs since Friday except to write this blog post and created my purity my own personal purity campaign: “Worth the Way 09.” And since the temptation is so strong I’ve even had a sponsor to help me stay on track since UC is away on a mini weekend vacay. Kristin (rockin’ forum mod) has talked me down from several ledges in my quest to stay pure. Everytime I’d get the itch or I just happen to be getting on my computer to “check my email” she’d text out of the blue to ask me what I was up to or to tell me Rob didn’t like it when I lied. It’s like SHE KNEW! I was just a junky looking to hide my attempts at getting my hit. It was like my other personal episode of Intervention. Only I’m addicted to Vampires and a boy named Rob and a book written for teens and not the bad stuff. Buuutttt here we are, we’re finally to Sunday and it’s t-minus a few hours until I can finally see what we’ve all be waiting for: shirtless Rob The New Moon Trailer!!!!!

What I’m looking forward to:

• Death Cab music video

• Ashley as the fashion correspondent on the red carpet. Can we just imagine for 2 seconds how she’s going to lie when she asks Rob/KStew who they’re wearing and then tells them they look great

• Seeing whether Rob steals his shirt from David Slade or the hotel bel hop

• Double checking that the front doors and windows are locked for when Taylor presents. I don’t need Chris Hansen sneeking in
• Will Kstew, trip, fall or otherwise make out entire evenings?

• The trailer (uh, duh)

So what are you looking forward to? And won’t you join us as I live Tweet the awards from the West Coast starting at 830ishPST. Will I pass out? Will Rob revive me with only his gaze through the TV screen? How many cupcakes will I shove in my mouth? Only time will tell!

This Cosmic Love – Edward and Bella

Dear Edward and Bella,

Sometimes words can adequately explain why your love story is so great. So words like cosmic seem like the only thing that can come near to explaining something so big, so strong and all encompassing. When Calli sent this video over I knew somehow someone had tapped into just a little once of truth regarding you two. The video features the song “Cosmic Love” by Florence and the Machine and I really can’t think of a better way to state the good, the bad and the lovely about you two. I was so intrigued by the term cosmic that I wanted to see the full extent of the term and here’s what good ol Merriam Webster had to say on the subject:

Stuff we like other than Twilight

Multi-task: Drive, Eat Cupcake, Take picture

Dear LTTers,

It’s the weekend, so you know what that means- we go have actual lives. We post short, sweet, simple posts & say “see ya Monday!” Cuz we like stuff other than Twilight. I know it’s hard to believe. But seriously. We do.

Now in the past 9 months we may not have had much time for stuff other than Twilight, but that doesn’t mean we don’t like it.

For example, I like:

• Cupcakes
• Kittens & grown-up cats
• Harry Potter
• Rob Pattinson
• Going out to eat

Since this is Friday while I’m writing this, tonight, after work, (are you shocked that I blog at work?) I’m going home to pet my 2 cats, eat the rest of the Oreo cupcake my husband brought me home yesterday (aww!), go out to eat with a few friends and then see the late showing of Harry Potter at the Imax theatre. See? I’m well-rounded.

I asked Moon for a few things she likes besides Twilight. She said:

• Music
• Hello Kitty
• Traveling

I’m pretty sure her weekend plans involve her grabbing her Hello Kitty pillow, hopping on a plane & heading up to some show in Vancouver. Why Vancouver? Well, it’s been like 13 days since she last saw Rob, and I think she’s dying.

But what I really wanted to show you was something I love other than Twilight, but is still Twilight related cause… well, we do run a Twilight Blog.

We both loved the movie “500 Days of Summer.” Hopefully you’ve seen it cause it rules. But in case you haven’t, here is the Trailer…. well, kinda…..

Go see 500 Days of Summer immediately if you haven’t yet. I wanna be Zooey Deschanel when I grow up.

It’s about time we devoted more of this blog to someone besides those two Robsten losers. A little too much plaid and sad and not enough HOT these days. So when I saw these pics of you lads today on Just Jared I about had a heart attack for a couple reasons cause well a. you’re all hot sauce in these and b. Jackson has a new doo and I gotta say it looks marvy. So marvy that I ran over to the forum to celebrate with the Jax lovers who congregate there. Don’t worry Jackson, UC may think you look like you have an addiciton to the bad stuff but I still love you. Maybe if you wrote an impromtu song for her about how you are a proud D.A.R.E graduate she might change her mind.

In any case I was perusing through these pics and noticed you were all carrying bags or food of some kind so let’s ponder what you guys ate today shall we? PSST This is really just a ploy for me to post these pics so we can all drool over them together. Let’s get started!

So clearly Jackson is the healthy eater of the bunch, probably got a 6in (that’s what she said) sub from the 7 under 7 grams of fat menu. Or maybe he’s giving the bird to production for making him wear that wig and went for the meatball sammy. Whatever it is, keep rocking that hot ass doo and maybe once this whole twi thing’s over Subway will dump that Jared guy and hire you as their new spokeswhore. Your commercial should be you riding a vintage motorcycle eating a Subway sammy saying “Eat at Subway and you can look like me! NOT!” and then you peel out and pop a wheely. Just a concept… we can iron out the details later.

New Moon Music we’re freaking out about

Dear Music-loving Twihards,

Moon & I are music freaks. We met at music school, we send each other mixes all the time (and by “we” I mean Moon sends me mixes). We both have music business degrees, and we have both worked in the music industry at one point in our lives.  So needless to say, music is really important to us- especially when it involves things we love, like the New Moon Soundtrack.

Add to the list of things we love about Chris Weitz, it sounds like he has kick-ass music taste.  We read that he’s confirmed Thom Yorke from Radiohead on the soundtrack as well as Bon Iver (my fav artist of 2008- please learn how to pronounce his name so I don’t get 2nd-hand embarrassed “BONE-EE-VAIR”). Moon & my friendship really blossomed in the days while we were obsessing over Adam Brody on the OC, and we can’t mention Adam Brody/Seth Cohen without mentioning Death Cab for Cutie who is rumored to have a track on the soundtrack as well.

We’re psyched.

Good Music and a Twilight Fan Video!

Dear LTT-ers and fanvid makers,

It’s not secret that we love a good fanmade video around here. I mean we have a whole category devoted to the great ones and the not so great ones. I think what I love most is the creativity they use in pulling together clips from other movies and video sources as well as music. Now it’s definitely not a secret that we love music around here too and nothing can turn us off of a fanvid faster than a bad song… so when I found these two videos I wanted to share them because not only are they awesome to watch they feature great songs that might not normally be most people first choice for a Twilight related song… So enjoy!

This video focuses on the Twilight story and uses one of my favorite songs: “Maps” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs

In this video they use the song “Colorblind” by the Counting Crows mixed with a cover of the same song by Natalie Walker to tell the New Moon story of Edward, Bella and Jacob. They use Steven Strait to play Jacob since there really still isn’t that much footage of Jacob/Taylor out there. Won’t we be glad when New Moon finally comes out?
